A wonderfully substantial vintage metal bell with a deep, aged patina and lots of rustic character. This is a surprisingly heavy little bell for its size, with thick metal construction and a substantial interior clapper.
The classic flared bell shape has a simple raised band near the bottom and a dark bronze-brown finish developed through age and use. A sturdy metal loop at the top makes it easy to hang from a hook or incorporate into a wall display.
It has a great old-world, utilitarian feel that would work beautifully in a farmhouse, cabin, entryway, garden room, or collection of primitive and found objects.
No maker's marks were found, so the exact manufacturer and metal composition are unknown.
