Vintage 15" Hand Tooled Leather Tray with Scalloped Edges

A large vintage hand-tooled leather tray featuring an elaborate floral and geometric design. The leather has been deeply worked with flowers, leaves, textured patterns and decorative borders, with a rich reddish-brown finish that highlights the tooling.

The oval tray has an especially distinctive pierced and scalloped border, with individually formed loops creating a decorative openwork edge. Measuring approximately 15 by 10 inches, it has substantial presence and works beautifully as a decorative tabletop piece or catchall.
